The Pleasant Grove High Band Boosters is an association organized to create interest in and give moral and financial support to the music and related programs of Pleasant Grove High School, located in Elk Grove, CA. These programs include Concert Band, Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Jazz Combos, Color Guard, and Winter Percussion.

Butter Braid Fundraiser
Butter Braid Fundraiser started Friday, November 15th.This fundraiser is a really great opportunity to boost your students savings account at school. All profit from each item sold goes straight into your student's savings account, $5.60 for each Butter braid and $6.40 for each cookie dough. This money can help your student with a variety of expenses, including Disneyland, dry cleaning expenses, and instrument repairs.

Butter Braid fundraiser will run from Friday, November 15th through Thursday, December 5th.
All order forms and money are due Thursday, December 5th.
Delivery Date: Thursday, December 12th immediately after school. They orders will be delivered to the PGHS Band Room.

The Winter Percussion season will kick off its first practice on Monday, October 21st. There are no percussion practices this week. The program is open to high school students who are enrolled in the PG music program AND students who are not. I have attached the season information in this email.
A parent information meeting will be held within the next few weeks. This meeting will cover the details about the season, including practice dates/ times, performance schedules and expectations of students and parents. There will be plenty of time for Q&A with the percussion program staff.
Until then, if your student is interested, please have her/him attend the first practice in the band room at 6pm and bring the completed registration form to turn in to instructor Josh Bryan.

We are looking for donations of your unwanted gifts!! Every year we have our Burritos and Bands concert in February, and are in need of your donations for the raffle. If you work for a corporation that donates big or small items, we'll take them!!

12/04-Winter Concert- This is for all band members, held at Sheldon PAC, concert starts at 7pm. Call time TBD
12/07-Jazz Festival- This is for Festival Jazz band only. Held at CSU Sacramento, Capistrano Hall. They charge a $15 entrance fee to watch. Call time TBD
12/07-Parade of Lights- This is for all band members. Location Laguna, near Civic Center Dr, call time at 4:30pm.
In past years there has only been a charge at the Fall/Halloween concert. We found out through meeting with the other booster groups in the district, that PGHS is the only group that doesn't charge for all concerts. This is a standard throughout the district and similar to charges for entry for drama, Soul Purpose, and sporting events. From now on, there will be a $5 charge at the door for all concerts.
