The Pleasant Grove High Band Boosters is an association organized to create interest in and give moral and financial support to the music and related programs of Pleasant Grove High School and Katherine Albiani Middle School, both located in Elk Grove, CA. At Pleasant Grove High School, these programs include Concert/Marching Band, Jazz Band, Jazz Combos, Color Guard, and Winter Percussion; at Albiani, Concert Band, Beginning Band and Jazz Band.

Jazz Band Trip to NYC
To Jazz I Band Parents,
The Jazz Band is planning a trip to perform in New York City March 21-25, 2018. Spring break is March 26 – 30, 2018 and this is in addition to (not in place of) Disneyland. This message is intended to provide you with the information that was discussed at the May 17th Parent Meeting and to get a count of those who are interested. We do not have a large window for fundraising as the full payment for the trip, both performers and adults, is due mid-September 2017. The idea is to get a firm count so that planning can continue over the summer.
Students will leave from Sacramento airport. Everyone is responsible for obtaining transportation to and from the airport, but ground transportation is part of the fee in NYC. The students will miss 3 days of school to attend the educational festival performance events. We are still looking into instrument rental for student who play instruments that are too large to ship and looking into the cost of checking a second item (instrument or 2nd bag).

2. Is your student interested? Yes or No (if not, would you mind briefly explaining why?)

5. If not, are you willing to aggressively participate in fundraising over the summer and when school begins? Yes or No
