Elk Grove Parade of Lights - 11/24
The Pleasant Grove Eagle Marching Band will be participating in the Elk Grove Parade of Lights on Saturday, November 24th. This is the Saturday after Thanksgiving and we will be on break. The performance is not mandatory and will not be graded. However, the band sounds much stronger and there is a lot more “holiday cheer” when we have a full band. The students will be decorating their uniforms and instruments with battery-powered lights. We hope you can structure your vacation so that your students can attend this fun parade. Call time and other details TBA.
PG Winter Percussion 2018-19

Changes this year include capping the group at 28 performers, an audition process, and all student to staff communication through Remind. Additional details and information will be sent out by email, so please completed the registration form completely.

Letters, Jackets and Patches, Oh My!
The Letterman jacket isn’t just for athletes! Band is a different type of sport, so maybe the jacket should be different (and less expensive!) too. The students have been asking for patches and letters for some time now. So, with the expansion of the spirit wear offerings over the last 2 years, we are adding a Dickies “Letterman” Jacket to the mix. THIS IS ALL COMPLETELY OPTIONAL!
Students can purchase nothing or (almost) everything on this order form. Letters are only for Juniors and Seniors who have performed at least 2+ years in the high school music program (middle school band does not count towards the letter), but the rest of the options are open to all students. Students may choose to purchase patches to add to their windbreakers, gym bags, garment bags, hats or anything else they choose. If students purchase the Dickies jacket with patches, we will require consistent placement of the graduation year, years of participation chevrons, and the varsity letter. We will also provide recommendations on place to patron to sew on the patches. BUT, act fast because we will only order once a year starting at band camp and running through the first couple of weeks of school. This order is out of cycle because it just came together. Complete orders, including payment in full, are due by November 14, 2018. Any order that is not complete or paid for by that date will need to wait until August 2019.
We Need Your Help!
Help us build a great music program for your kids! Our School District provides the instructor, space, and basic equipment for a music program, but we have to raise the money for nearly everything else. Funds are needed for music purchase, instrument repairs and maintenance, uniform purchase and alterations, competition fees, clinicians, travel expenses, trailer expenses, etc. The Pleasant Grove High Band Boosters is a State of California 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and all donations to the band program are tax-deductible.
